LPR technology
plate recognition (LPR) is an image-processing technology for identifying vehicles based on using our many years of data science, huge accumulated datasets, own mathematical approaches, and deep learning experience.
We develop the unique algorithm of image recognition for PC, VP, ARM- and GPU-based platforms from Ambarella, HiSilicon, Wisenet, ARTPEC, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Intel.
The LPR technology uses illumination (such as infrared) and a camera to take the image of the front or rear of the vehicle, then an image-processing software analyzes the picture and extracts the plate information. LPR allows scanning the plates from all registered vehicles.
The data can then be used for a variety of purposes: security and surveillance, traffic management, toll collection, access/parking control, etc. FF Group LPR technology is used in its various access control and traffic applications for regular IP-cameras such as Hanwha Techwin, Axis Communications, MOBOTIX, Lilin and other brands.
MMR technology
FF Group vehicle make and model recognition (MMR) technology is one of the most accurate and rapid onboard the camera (EDGE). It is based on FF Group’s unique recognition system being robust to various lighting conditions with high processing speed and reasonable computational complexity.
FF Group’s “information entropy” approach allowed us to use camera memory sparingly for recognizing all the vehicle’s parameters.
So, after a special conversion with our approach, the data for analysis is a thousand times smaller than the original one. Our EDGE-born MMR technology works thanks to Ambarella’s new chip family CV2x and CVFlow technology.
The approved result is over 90% recognition accuracy among 500+ classes with a 4K frame processing. FF Group MMR technology is used in its various access control and traffic applications for regular IP-cameras produced by Axis, Hanwha Techwin, etc.
