Privacy Notice

Advanced Analytics and Data Science (Company) is a technology company in the Czech Republic developing machine learning algorithms for license plate recognition. To improve the work of the algorithm and technology performance (namely the vehicle positioning recognition algorithm) the Company places the CCTV cameras in public places. This privacy notice will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from CCTV cameras.

What data do we collect?

Photo and video of the street traffic from CCTV cameras.

Why do we collect the data?

The purpose of the Company collecting the data is to improve the quality of the algorithm that recognizes the car positioning and the license plate data. The collected data may also be used for quality improvement purposes. The collection of the data allows the Company to achieve a better quality of image recognition and provide a better service for the customers who use the results of algorithm work.

How do we collect your data?

We place CCTV cameras on the streets where the individual has no reasonable expectation of privacy with this privacy notice available in each CCTV camera via QR code.

The technology is based on the selective collection of the relevant data for the algorithm and is not intended to collect the photo or video of the driver. In cases when photos or videos of drivers or passengers are collected – the data is being immediately automatically deleted.

How will we use your data?

We will use the collected data to train algorithms to improve motion detection and object recognition capabilities. We are not combining the data with any existing records that Company has or using data in any other way or for a purpose other than the one outlined in this notice.

The data will be used by the Company, its employees, and contractors solely and won’t be transferred to a third party.

The company may use a limited number of vendors for the algorithm development and would not provide them with access to any personally identifiable information.

How do we store your data?

All the data is stored in the internal database that is based on the customized encryption algorithm of the company. This proprietary algorithm encrypts the data stored and makes the data invalid for usage in case of third-party interference. The encryption and other protective safeguards ensure that data can’t be decomposed by third parties.

In addition, Company ensures the protected data storage and usage of algorithms that preclude the availability of third-party access.

The company stores the initially collected video for 6 months and photos for 12 months. After this term data is being deleted from all the instances.

What are your data protection rights?

Our Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights.

If you think that your data were collected as a part of CCTV camera work, please be advised that you have the following rights described below.

We may request some personal data to identify you to ensure the legitimate nature of your request associated with data subject rights. The data associated with your identification will be
deleted during the legally prescribed term of 30 days after we finish the processing of the request.

The right to access – You have the right to request our Company for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Our Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Our Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Our Company restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Our Company’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Our Company transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Since all the photo and video elements that allow identifying the person are deleted as soon as data is identified, we’ll let you know if we identified anything. For license plate data all the procedures are valid.

Changes to our privacy policy Our Company keeps its privacy policy under regular review and places any updates on this web page available via QR code placed at each point of collection. This privacy policy was last updated on March 24th, 2022.
