Our LPR (License Plate Recognition) technologies have become even more accurate and speed-effective under challenging conditions. FF Group has just announced a new LPR Libraries release. It’s not a secret that LPR is a core technology for the whole LPR product line. So, what’s better now and what exactly has been improved?

The newest generation of algorithms improved recognition accuracy by almost 1%. For example, we have improved the quality of LPR and improved the readability of non-format and inverse numbers (motorcycles, special vehicles, military and diplomatic numbers). With 10% increased recognition speed we reduce the likelihood of missed out (not captured) license plates, even in the heavy traffic.

Today LPR Libraries work on cameras of different price range, and they are based on Ambarella, Wisenet/WisenetX, Hisilicon, Axis Communications, Qualcomm, Intel platforms.
